21st Dinner

Because my girls spoil me so, we went to The Greek for dinner.
My favourite restaurant!

I'm one happy chick.

=D

They were supposed to be at my house party, but because Evee baby had to work that night, we decided on a dinner instead.

Appetisers were calamari, field mushrooms and sausage.

Mains were grilled prawns on risotto for me, salmon steak for Evee and Claire, and seafood spaghetti for Sharon.

The prawns were big, fresh and juicy, while the salmon was done just right.

Heavenly!

And I must definitely mention again that the grilled vegetables at The Greek is tummy yummy!

*sslurpp*

While waiting for the food, Sharon placed a card infront of me.
It was a card for a male strip club!

Oh. My. Gosh.

We then went on to laugh ourselves silly about how the guy on the card doesn't even look hot, and that we much rather watch female strippers.

So now the plan is to watch BOTH male and female strippers.
Since both clubs are in the same area.

Ohh...
Looking forward to that!

=p

We ordered a bottle of champagne, and I drank quite a bit.
Ended up a lil' trippy and bubbly happy.

After dinner, Evee baby and I headed to Timezone for some narcissistic episodes!

So now we each have each others' faces in our wallets.

Aww...
Such love.

=)

We then headed to Kings Park and ended up chatting up there.

And here's my presents from the girls.

What more can I ask for?

Nothing.

I'm as blessed as can be.

BIG

On my way back from work, I spotted a super duper big ass rainbow.

Like . . .

WOW!

My first ever at seeing a full rainbow.
Both ends of it!

Yes yes yes.

I'm easily fascinated.

Now shut up.

Officially 21

Spent my 21st at work today, from 10am to 6pm.

Quoting Pat:
"Today's your 21st? You must be damn crazy to be working today!"

Had to get up at 8am when the party last night ended at 3am.

Brilliant.

And a customer made me cried.

Just brilliant.

Had my fun, and payback's a bitch.

Damn it.

On a slightly cheery note, photos from 21st dinner and party coming up!

WOOT!

Evee Day

Lunch with Evee, before going to work.

We're both sushi addict and tofu mania!

And look at the donuts here.

They're not just filling and humongous, but also shapely and colourful!

I miss the small and fluffy-centred donut balls in Singapore.

=(

Pre-birthday dinner with the girls later.

Can't wait!

Waiting & Watching

Lunch with Brett at Dome, in the city.

While waiting for him to be back from placing the orders . . .

At a bustop in the city
, while waiting for Mark to pick me up . . .

Taxi stand is an interesting place to people watch.

And I definitely have to stop going to the city so much.

Whoop!

Today is gramp's birthday.

May she have a lovely day today, and every other day.
And may she be blessed with fabulous health.

The best gramps I can ever ask for.

Beautiful, cute, funny, caring, nurturing, and everything else.

My idol.

Random Day @ Carousel

Lunch with Housie at Carousel.

Tried a store selling Mexican food, pizzas, spuds and crepes.

Hmm...

Spuds are my absolute favourite!
I'm absolutely potatoes.

Next time if anyone asked me what superhero I wanna be, I'll proudly declare "SPUD GIRL".

=p

And did I mention that I'm a dessert addict?

Give me ice creams and cakes anytime!

Anyway, I've been contemplating for a while to get myself inked. Sort of a 21st gift to myself.

But because I might regret doing something so permanent, I decided to test it out.

What better way than drawing on yourself for a couple of days consecutively?

Am thinking of getting a star, because it's simple and has a personal meaning.

But everyone around me was going "oh my gosh! are you sure?", except for Mr Jerome.

"I don't see anything wrong with that."

Ohh...

I heart that guy so much.

=p

Shall see how it goes.

And here's some before bedtime madness from me to you!

Morning in Melbourne

So how does winter morning in Melbourne feel like?

Imagine this:

Pushing open the door, a fresh burst of cool winter breeze greets you, jolting every nerves and senses in your body. You are instantly awaken, with the bright and cheery sunshine warming you amidst the cold winter morning.

Stretching lazily, you ponder over the day's itinerary, while taking in a deep breathe of cool air. Your body slowly unfurls from its internal slumber, with a stilling sense of peace and happiness.

Can life get any better?

You wonder.

Of course it can.

=)

Before heading out for a full day of walking, exploring and getting lost, I decided to snap the place which is going to be my dwelling for the next one week!

I decided upon The Nunnery because of its reasonable pricing and most importantly, its classic Victorian designs. The moment I came upon the pictures of it online, my heart was sold. The feeling is right, and I'm on a holiday after all.

=D

Breakfast is served daily from 8am to 10am, with pancakes on Sunday. There's also BBQ Thursday nights, and hot chocolate available throughout the day. Perfect for the winter chills!

Brilliant isn't it?

And not to mention, it's located right at the outskirt of Melbourne CBD area, and is right across the road to Melbourne Museum!

Bliss is it not?

Shakespeare my ass.

One fine day, I decided to stop using short forms, and to compose all my messages and MSN conversations with proper English.

That, I did.

One fine day, I decided to stop speaking Singlish, and to speak proper English.

That, I did.

So now whenever I receive messages from random guys that goes:

"ello, wanna chat?"

"u in austrlia ah?"

"wah! you live very near me hor."

I can only feel two emotions.

To either punch them in the face, or to rob myself of my sight.

I can't help it.

The dictionary made me feel that way.

I have to stop reading it.

Proofread people.

PROOFREAD!

There's also loads of online dictionaries.

Here's my favourite one:

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

Fly away

Housie was telling me about her diving trip to Redang Island, and of how she almost didn't want to leave. She even went up to the proprietor and asked if he's hiring, in which he said yes.

This idea got planted in me, and I think I might go away to an island and experience a quiet and relaxing life, working at a resort or with a diving group.

If I'm going back to Singapore for my University studies, then I'll most probably do just that. Will be staying in Australia till my visa ends in March, then head back to Singapore for a short while before whisking myself away to an island for 3 months, before University life starts in July.

Shall see how things go.
Cross my fingers.

=D

All about
: elise :

Jack (or is it Jane?) of all trades,
(almost!)

but Master of none.
(trying to!)

This is my paradise, where I indulge my senses grandiloquently.

A collective effort to keep family & friends updated, and for random strangers to pop by.

I wanted to put a HUGE picture of myself in this space, but being the technologically challenged person that I am, I can't figure out the mojo of it.

So I guess I'll just have to make do with scattering loads of random self-shots all over the blog!
