Career Fair 2006

Went to the Career Fair with Christine, Estee, Li Hui, Hui Ping, Chi Ho & CS today. Mainly for the educational side cos Christine & I wanna take the same course.

Checked out quite a few and came back with loads of brochures and information. Hmm... Even did application with JCU. All theirs lecturers, technology and clinical components are imported straight from Australia. So its much better and so cool. Unlike Singapore which employs lecturers who's not certified practitioners.
It's a 4 years program with straight Masters, while all the other Universities need 6 years to complete Masters. Can you imagine the opportunity costs incurred in 2 years? That's a lot of money.
The woman said that there's a high chance of admission as long as the results are good and on top of it, a good testimonial. Christine has no worries then as her results are good enough and not to mention her testimonial, which is gonna be so great! She's now doing NYAA. So what do you think? So envious.
But oh well. Even though my results are average, I'm sure my tesimonial is gonna be fabulous cos of all the projects done during my attachments. I'm more of a practical person than a theory one. Wahaha! Gotta go email my Mentor soon to trouble her!

At Aunt Joyce's place now. Both of us came over to consult her. She told us that its very important to check out the credential of the Universities and suggested that we look out for double degree. But Christine & I are intending to do pure on the course and specialise in it. Aunt Joyce also urged us to go for the UK & US fair. It's both tomorrow. Guess I'll have to go to my chalet real late. Haha.

Anyway, I so wanna go overseas. And the reason for it? The experience.
Told Christine my worries and she said that she's sure there's gotta be a way out or that it's not even gonna be a problem. Well, hopefully.

Anyway, I'm so gonna have to talk to my Daddy dearest soon. Already informed him of my application for NUS & NTU. But now its the serious stuff.
I'm my Daddy dearest's most important investment asset, with a gauranteed minimum return! So much better than so many kinds of other investments tools! Wahaha! So financial huh? That goes to show that I did learn something in Poly ok. LOL!

Anyway, gotta go off soon. Very tired today. Kept yawning.

Toodles!

Hmm. Could be taking my driving license after all. Christine has got hers in 5 months time and she told me that since now I have the full 4 months, might as well go take it. Aunt Joyce agreed. Hmm. Don't intend to take it at 1st cos I don't wanna use Daddy's money. I don't like to burden him. But Christine said take it as a loan. Hahaha. What a way to put it.

Anyway, if application is successful, I'll have my own practice in 4-5 years time! Can you imagine? Wahaha. So excited!
But maybe I'll go into forensic area. I like it alot. Influenced from watching too much CSI. Hur hur.

All about

Jack (or is it Jane?) of all trades,
(almost!)

but Master of none.
(trying to!)

This is my paradise, where I indulge my senses grandiloquently.

A collective effort to keep family & friends updated, and for random strangers to pop by.

I wanted to put a HUGE picture of myself in this space, but being the technologically challenged person that I am, I can't figure out the mojo of it.

So I guess I'll just have to make do with scattering loads of random self-shots all over the blog!
